Mr. Ryan explained that the case required multiple appearances before an Administrative Law Judge in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as well as appellate proceedings before the Appeals Council of the Social Security Administration in Falls Church, Virginia.
Ultimately, the Appeals Council entered an order awarding the client a period of accrued benefits dating back to July of 2011.
As a result of the decision obtained by Mr. Ryan, his client will receive almost $100,000 in accrued disability benefits, a monthly payment while the individual is unable to work, and ongoing medical insurance coverage.
